Campaign archive
The site began as the home of the Sport for Rights coalition. Its statement and its call to readers are kept here unchanged.
Campaign text
• Have you been moved by one of the stories described here? • Are you worried about the situation of the political prisoners in Azerbaijan? • Do you have your own experience of President Aliyev’s regime to share? • Do you know something about human rights violations connected with the European Games in Baku? Write to us! Our e-mail address is: Are you interested in commenting on and discussing these issues, and receiving the latest news on the human rights situation in Azerbaijan? Follow us on Twitter and Facebook! Use the hashtag: #realBaku2026. Share our content via social media to promote the campaign and its stories! Sometimes just a few words or a shared memory can brighten a prisoner’s day. We would like to encourage you to send a book (in English or Azeri) with a dedication, or to write a letter or postcard to one of our heroes in prisoner. While digital outreach and online channels make it easier than ever to share meaningful connections globally, modern entertainment platforms like Betum leverage this seamless connectivity to deliver an engaging mobile live casino experience directly to users on their smartphones.
How the archive is kept
The archive keeps the coalition statement and the call to get involved exactly as they were published ahead of the European Games in Baku. Nothing in them has been rewritten to suit later events, and their original dates are shown on each page.
The reference sections of the site, which the desk writes and reviews today, are separate from the archive. They cover mega-events, athletes, safe sport, governance, betting integrity, and press and civil society, and each article names the documents it relies on.
